Updates: Incolore, Fetish, Seduisant

So currently, life has been taking over and editing Incolore has been put on hold and release is moved to December. I'll make sure to release it before the year ends!

Also, I have been releasing some creative juices by making some GUI, exploring image maps and other codes that proved to be really dynamic.

New Release: Fetish: Wanted!

So I made a new, tiny game since I have a lot of free time while I wait for my new work assignments and beta-testers, a spin-off of my first original game, Fetish, I present to you FETISH: WANTED.



It is set in a high school alternative universe where Vier, our heroine Hexia's younger brother, is at 17 years of age.

You can also view it / give feedback in its thread over LemmaSoft Forums.

There's also a mini contest announced first-hand in the thread but an official post will made for it after a few days. :')

News: Free Sprites

Onto some other news: I've sent Incolore's prototype game to my beta testers, so right now I have to do the CGs (just a few) and then the game's all good to be released! Hopefully by November it's done!

Update: Incolore Bonus

FINALLY!

The main routes are officially done! I may not hit my target of finishing the script by the end if September, but at least finishing the main routes would greatly lessen my worries.

Also, I've wanted to do something different with the extras / bonus / achievements. Instead of a CG gallery and additional information, like what I did to my previous works, I've decided to just make unlockable scenes, which are the epilogues after an ending.

Incolore's script is almost done! One more ending and the script's all good. Only the CGs and bonus stuff are the only ones left to need to work on and the game's all set to be released.

Other Stuff: Eli's clothes

Having a few days break from writing Incolore, I drew some shirt outfits for one of my many original characters, Eli.

At this rate, I'm planning to actually develop a mini visual novel about him. I've pretty much played his life with my imagination, the only thing remaining is to actually mold a plot.

Incolore progress is getting along pretty well!

These past days I am working on both the script and programming, and hopefully by the end of September the story will reach 90 to 100 percent completion. CGs will have to wait after all the primary codes have been programmed.

Incolore Progress

It's been awhile since the last time I posted an update!

Again, this will be a short one.

Progress for Incolore has been really slow but fortunately, the script is now at 70%, programming is 60%, music and SFX at 80%, while the CGs will be done after all these things are done.

GUIs are not that fancy, I've changed a little.

I've implemented new systems in the game, aside from the point system, there's also remembering user choices.

Incolore is basically a really simple game, may be predictable, but I hope it will be enjoyed by future players.

New Backgrounds Set!

I've uploaded a new background set in the Materials section. It includes three categories with more than 10 images in 1200 x 700 pixels wide.

It has been awhile since I last made a set. Wew!

Also, I've made a new account in MEGA, so more choices to where you can download the things I have on this blog. Although I won't be transferring my files there but new ones will be up there instead.

Onto Incolore, I'm taking this one slowly but I guess I'm already nearing the end of script writing.

NEWS: Patterns added to Materials section

Time sure flies fast!

I haven't updated this blog since God-knows-when.

Another short update, progress for Incolore is kinda slow to nothing ever since I had started working part-time, also the number of days being in slump are increasing. (And I the new set of character designs for Fetish Otome...)

Anyway, NEWS!

Patterns section in Materials are added! They are available for Photoshop (Windows), and I will probably add PS brushes sometime soon, if time permits!

Update: Incolore

This will be just be a quick one.

I've updated the Incolore page here: added the Gameplay section.

This is the first time I will use a point system, so Incolore is kinda under the category of an experiment so I could see how a point system will work.

I'm already in the programming phase and this maybe a bit longer than I've predicted.

Incolore: Background Test

I started making backgrounds already and I followed this handy-dandy reference from Le-Mec. I find this reference easy to follow but as easy as it looks, drawing perspectives isn't really easy at all. Heck, I'm not really that good with perspectives to begin with after studying interior design for a couple of years but the knowledge I gained are really helpful for drawing backgrounds.

Update: Incolore

After months of not doing anything on this project, I finally had the will and strength to continue bit by bit.

First off, I scrapped a character of the list. I decided to scrap Ryan, which is Mason's (protagonist) photographer fried. I decided scrap him to lower down the character count also I've realized there are too many characters already. So, I'm sorry Ryan. :"(

Fetish: Sketches

For the last two weeks my laptop was dead because of my broken charger, and during those weeks I was only using my phone to surf the net, and took the opportunity to sketch some stuff. I was in the mood to sketch some character designs for Fetish Otome (although they turned out not that good and not much originality is seen).

I also sketched the older version of Vier and Cain.

Hiatus

It's almost the end of May and the progress for Incolore is at turtle to no speed at all. Actually, there is a reason to it.

My artist circle just planned everything from May to December this year, and there will be monthly deadlines (at least). I've been busy doing the work given to me (research, drawing, etc) that I barely have time anymore to work on Incolore.

Sadly, I have to go in an short to indefinite hiatus as I am making my group my priority above else and I hope I won't scrap incolore for good . We are working on more than one product and also planning / preparing to open internationally for commissions.

Incolore News

I've been busy this April. So many things have happened.

But sadly, this post is not good things.

The progress of Incolore has been from turtle-speed to none. This is due to my laptop crashing all the time, I can't get any work done.

Also, the heat in my country is really really intense (it's summer here). @__@

But I will still try my best to do the work.

For now, all I have done is complete Mason's expressions.

Incolore Progress

After two weeks of break, I'm back to doing visual novels! Though I can say I'll be doing project in a slow pace. But I'm feeling good right now, but not hyper. I must be tired still from NanoReno.

Anyway, I've made progress for my halted project Incolore! Finally done with sprites' defaults; I'll do the variations tomorrow or so. Ahahaha. I might also create a WIP thread on Lemma Soft Forums too.

Password?

I haven't posted in a while in here nor in Twitter, but yesterday I was feeling kinda sick but was able to write a bit but that doesn't change the fact that I am already behind schedule.

I'm thinking of making my NanoReno2014 game simpler than from what I have intended it to be before (few CGs) but I will go back to it once I have the time. I kinda want to continue Incolore because I haven't made any progress of it.

Switching File Hosts

I've decided to switch file hosts.

Instead of 4shared which I've been using since forever,  I'll be using Dropbox and Mediafire since majority uses and likes them more than 4shared. Also, it's really easy to use Dropbox despite me being a first timer.

Although my files in 4shared won't be moved to Dropbox nor Mediafire.

New MAC Files Uploaded

I have uploaded new MAC files of Fetish 2.0.

I hope they won't mess up during extraction. No password this time.

I rebuilt a new distribution and uploaded it straight away. Sadly, I can't do anything if the the .exe won't start because I can't test it myself. :"(

I'm sorry for this. I might stop building distributions if the MAC app won't really start.

Just a few days ago the progress had been slow (writer's block, gdi) even though the plot is kind of fast paced and easy to write, but I WAS WRONG.

New Background Set:

Earlier this morning mom and I went to the supermarket to buy some stuff and while we were at it, I decided to take some photos. And yes, it was really awkward, especially that there were a few people staring at me.

It felt like it was my first time visiting a supermarket.

I took a few photos of some mall interior as well.

New Dialogue Box set

So I have put up a new set of dialogue boxes, which consists of 5 solid designs that are good for screens in 1200 width.

They are just simple, just like the others. |'D

On to other stuff, my body and mind won't work (Colors ~ Aoi's Utopia ~), but I'm just glad I was still able to script. It's just that I am lost for words even though everything's done in my head already.

Colors: Screenies & Endings

So I have finalized the number of endings for Colors and have posted some screenies in here and in LSF thread.

So right now I have 3 endings:

  • 1 True Ending
  • 2 Neutral Endings

I have written plenty of bad ends in my last game, so this time, I don't wanna write that much, but instead neutral endings that players are free to view it either good or bad. Although I view these neutral endings as good endings, they are not entirely happy endings as well.

As for the true end, well, who knows what kind of ending it is? It can either be good, bad, or both.

I think I can finish the game within 5 days before March 30th, lol.

Colors: Progress

Finally!!!!

I'm done with sprites since last night.

Anyway, he's the current progress:

1. Sprites - DONE
2. Dialogue Boxes - DONE
4. GUI - DONE

I went with a much simpler render for the sprites and simpler design for the GUI.

These are the current things that are finally completed. So right now, I have to do 2 to 5 backgrounds and I am off to scripting.

NanoReno 2014

So in the end, I finally decided to join Lemma Soft Forums' annual NanoReno.

I'm gonna challenge myself to finish a game with a span of one month, even though I'm still working in Incolore. //stabsmyself

Anyway, I entitled my game Colors ~ Aoi's Utopia ~. I can't think of a better title, I am sorry. OTL


Incolore: Base Colors

So finally, after 3 to 4 days, I'm so done with the base colors. It's hard to do 10 characters. Phew. And I am still hoping I won't add anymore.

However, I do think Incolore would be a rather short project. It's hard to think of routes if the story is long, and I don't wanna rush it.

New Dialogue Box Set! Geometric

I have uploaded a new dialogue box set with 7 variations, dubbed Geometric.

This is how they look:

and yeah, I used ALi3N's (Grayscaled Serenity) sprite for the side image.





The first initial design kinda looked similar to Persona, so I scrapped it and made this one as the final design.

Incolore Characters

This will be a looooong post.

So yeah, since there are a total of 10 characters (and I hope I won't add any more than that) in my new project Incolore, I've been like working on the sprites for 3 days already and all I have ever done was linearts and a few base renders. I'm hoping to finish the base colors tonight or tomorrow morning. I'm kinda slow right now. //sobs

But anyway, aside from the sprites and their names, I have finalized the characters' ages, status, and sexual orientations.

I've updated my Materials section and made two separate pages for backgrounds and dialogue boxes to be more organized and clean.

Also, I've added a new set in dialogue boxes (today) and backgrounds (last night).

New Game: Incolore

So since my recent game is finally done and released yesterday, it's now to make a new one! Yes, I am hyped!

Sadly though, I have scrapped two potential subjects due to limited resources. I was excited to develop them but with no materials, I have no choice but to scrap / put them on hold until I find resources.

So my next game, I decided to make it a shounen-ai / boy's love, entitled, Incolore, just a simple story that originated from my mind. Although this story have connections to other stories I had in mind, I chose this particular plot to make a game. I'm thinking of just making it short unlike Fetish.

I hope everyone will enjoy this update, I've put all my sweat, tears, and effort in this one.

Although there are lots to still uncover about my characters and the story itself, I can't just compress it all in a visual novel. The story is surprisingly longer than from what I have imagined.

But nonetheless, I am proud of this one. I learned new codes too!!!

As of now, the game progress is really going well and I am currently writing the last two routes, just a few more words, and then a few CGs left, and Fetish 2.0 is done!!! I am really excited to release this updated version!

Almost there

Updaaaaaaaaaate before my day ends.

After a few minutes of suffering from writer's block, finally, the third to the last route is done!!!

So two more routes, plus a few more CGs, and Fetish: Every Second Counts will be up for release!

I'm really excited to release this, as some of my friends are also looking forward to this updated version! QAQ

I have lots of stuff in store for you guys, I hope you will like them, and some new features.

Also, I was thinking of joining NanoReno 2014 at Lemma Soft Forums this coming March. Making a visual novel from scratch in just a span of one month is really a challenge, albeit I already have a story in mind.

But anyway, must focus on Fetish! I'm almost there!

So!!! Last night I have been drawing and rendering CGs but I ended up only finishing one CG and it's variation, since it was kinda big and well, with backgrounds so it took me a while to finish. Of course, I took a break. My shoulders were all stiff.

Progress

Woo!!!!

Finally made a progress blog, time to separate my sh*t and everything about my visual novels from my personal life and other rants! Although I'll be more active in my personal blog, all progress and status of my visual novels will, from now on, will be posted here!

So as for my first post, of course, about my ongoing project, the second installment / version of Fetish, subtitled Every Second Counts.

Anyway, for the past days I've been struggling with writer's and artist's blocks. That just really sucks! I mean, I can't work with my game! It's really frustrating, you know?
